Wish Upon A Wedding St Louis is off the ground...

On Wednesday June 16, 2010 we officially launched the St Louis Chapter of Wish Upon A Wedding! Wish Upon A Wedding is the world’s first non profit dedicated to granting wedding wishes to couples faced with terminal illness regardless of sexual orientation.

The launch party was held at the fabulous Lumen Private Event Space downtown St. Louis. Attendees were asked to dress in Caribbean Chic attire. Thanks to the amazing vendors we have in St Louis there was no shortage of food, drink, or entertainment.



Everyone was greeted as they walked in with a feeling of the Caribbean from the music, to the food stations, to the signature drink.

Once the evening was in full swing, and every one's bellies were full, I took the stage as chapter President to give my presentation. The intent of the presentation was to help raise awareness, and help the message get spread for Wish Upon A Wedding. When I got to the past Wish Recipients portion of the presentation, I got a little teary eyed. I was nervous at first, until I looked up and saw that so many of the audience was also teary eyed. At that moment, I knew I was surrounded by amazing, loving, caring, and giving St Louisans.


After the presentation, everyone continued to enjoy, all of the cuisine, desserts, and entertainment. I personally enjoyed the photobooth donated by Goodeye Photoshare. These are some pics from it.

LBE Photoshoot at the Arch in St. Louis

This past week we had the good fortune of doing a team photoshoot with the very talented Kelly Park. You can find the details on her Blog. We met at Landing, which if you are not from St Louis is also known as Laclede's Landing. This is the area near the base of the St Louis Arch, and next to the Mississippi River.

The weather was amazing, and there was not a cloud in the sky. We took pictures in the alley behind the Old Spaghetti Factory, then moved to the steps in front of the Arch. I think the images turned out fabulously!!

The purpose of the photoshoot was to welcome the newest LBE Team member, Ashley Wooden. (check back on the blog later this week for her formal welcome post). However, we quickly turned it into just a fun outing. Kelly Park put us at ease, and made us laugh. It was so nice for me to see and feel how my clients that are working with Kelly feel. It truly was a fun experience.

Fab Engagement Pictures at City Museum

I love to "marry" two things on my blog. Images of my lovely clients, and talented vendors. When we met Corryn & Chad earlier this year, they told us right away that they needed a photographer. We recommended the super talented Kelly Park. At the time we knew the couple and Kelly would be a great fit. If these images are any indicator... we were right on the money.

We work with so many talented/gifted photographers, however it is our job to really try to pair the clients up with the photographer that will fit their personality and style best. Great work Kelly and we can't wait for the big day in July!!

The Knot Industry Party Post 2 of 2

Here are some additional pictures showing more of the beautiful linens. (compliments of BBJ Linen) I was inspired by the metallic shag when I first saw it in their showroom. I could not think of a more fun and hip fabric for the ultra lounge area. We used cobalt blue, and fuschia pink metallic table linen. We then complimented the Chavari Barstool pads with lime green covers. Thanks to The Aries Company for providing the stools.

On the cake table we used BBJ's Purple Dahlia sheer over a teal bengaline. It really popped!

Last but certainly not least, had the spool wall. Compliments of The Aries Company. I loved this unique way to serve appetizers.

The Knot STL Industry Event.. 8/12/09 Post 1 of 2

The Lacy Branch Events Team


We are back in the office today after a very busy but exciting week. We were preparing for The Knot STL Industry Event. Since most of you would not know what this means, it is simply a networking event hosted by The Knot for the best of the best in the Wedding industry to come out and network. We as industry professionals see each other in passing at your weddings or events but don't often get to hang out and enjoy the company. It felt a little like the All Star Game that was recently here in St Louis, because all of the top vendors came together to play together in one event.

The event was held at Mad Art Gallery in St. Louis. This venue was perfect for our party. It is restored 1930 police station that is now a art gallery and event venue.

The best of the best vendors worked with me to bring my vision of peacocks to life. All of the images provided on this blog are courtesy of the very talented Von Devore and Kelly Park. Tracy Lee from Six Eighty Three Photography was also there, and I will have her pics in the next post.



Kelly Park captured all of our design elements here (above)!


This cake was my inspiration for the entire event design. I saw this cake when I was at an event in California, and I took a picture. When I came back I sent the picture to Stephanie Welty from Stephanie's Bakery. She thought I was a little crazy, but she was up for the challenge. She changed the overall color and modified the design to her style and produced this amazing cake!

BBJ Linen just came out with this new Lime Twist linen and I had to use it for this event. It looked great. The bar stools were provided by The Aires Company

Makeup and Hair Stylist extraordinare Tami Scott from Tami Scott Studio. She made all of my team ultra peacock glam.





Parties & Props, Ltd. went all out and created the peacock entrance way to die for. They also did all the crystal curtains on the stage and behind the cake.
